A GRIEVING man is locked in a battle with lawyers over his late best friend’s home – amid fears thousands of others could be missing out on inheritances.
David Ross says his pal Rintu Basu’s dying wish has been caught up in a mass scandal involving a bust legal firm.

And he claims Rintu’s dad signed paperwork after he was diagnosed with dementia.
The saga centres around now collapsed Glasgow outfit McClure Solicitors who are accused of leaving thousands of clients in limbo before they fell into administration in April last year.
David, 39, has been locked out of Rintu’s £250,000 family home in plush Newton Mearns, Glasgow, held in a Family Protection Trust set up by McClure.
David, of Ibrox, was stunned when lawyers claimed the quarter of a million pound retirement pad wasn’t part of Rintu’s estate – rendering his final will and testament irrelevant.
His astonishment grew when he discovered paperwork for the trust was signed by Rintu’s dementia-suffering dad Sankur without his son’s knowledge.
David said: “The obvious question here is: why on earth would anyone in their right mind set up a trust to protect their family’s assets only for the assets to be locked into the trust upon their death?
“The answer is, they wouldn’t. It doesn’t make any sense.
“Rintu’s last will and testament makes it absolutely clear he wanted his estate to come to me – but the lawyers are saying the trust isn’t included.
