Savills has announced the appointment of Jessica Heywood and Edward Martin to the growing estate management team in its York office.
Heywood, who is a qualified rural surveyor and graduate of Harper Adams University, will provide estate management services in addition to strategic land and property advice to a mixture of private and institutional clients across Yorkshire and the North East in her role.
She brings with her estate management experience for a variety of clients throughout the UK.
Martin joins the team as a graduate surveyor. In his role, he will be predominantly managing moorland estates and grouse moors, with his work also extending to include tenant matters, the purchase and sale of farms and schemes that aim to preserve the natural environment.

Bradford Council has recruited David Shepherd to the role of strategic director for place. He will take up the role early in the new year.
The role of strategic director for place plays a vital role in both the economic and environmental development of the district and also oversees key areas of delivery including highways, planning, waste management, neighbourhoods and parks and leisure.
Shepherd is currently the director of trade and investment at the West Yorkshire Combined Authority. Prior to working at the Combined Authority, he led on the economic growth activities at the regional development agency Yorkshire Forward, before taking up an influential role in the private sector to develop strategic land and marine sites in the UK.
